Okemos, Michigan—Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is pleased to announce the hiring of Earl Major as vice president of human resources. He began in the role January 20.

Major has more than 20 years of experience in HR leadership, employee development and change management. He most recently worked as the Vice President of People and Culture at ADMA Biologics, Inc. He has also served in HR leadership roles at Teva Pharmaceuticals, Humana and Pfizer.

While at Humana, Major created and oversaw the company’s Helping Hands emergency fund program, which assisted employees facing unexpected financial hardship to get back on their feet. Since its inception, the fund has gifted more than $1 million to associates in need.

At Delta Dental, Major is responsible for oversight of the HR department, establishing and executing an integrated people strategy and translating business goals into HR strategies. His role focuses on talent attraction and retention by creating initiatives to develop current employees’ skills while leveraging their individual talents and passions for future potential.

“I believe every employee should have an opportunity to fulfill their dream,” Major said. “I want to help others become the best version of themselves.”

Major holds his bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology and his master’s degree in organizational behavior and human resources management. Both his degrees are from Purdue University.

Major is a father of five and resides in mid-Michigan with his wife.
